Reserve Your SlipNavigation Information & Resources
Set your navigation systems to N 25 04.700, W- 077 19.180. This route will place you right off the western entrance to Nassau Harbour within sight of the first entry buoys. It is the beginning of the standard western approach into Nassau Harbour, between the west tip of Paradise Island (white lighthouse) on your port side, and the line of Long Cay, Silver Cay and the Silver Cay breakwater, on your starboard side. Before entering the breakwater, the protocol is to call Nassau Harbour Control on VHF channel 16 and request permission to enter the harbour area due to it being a high traffic area. (Note: All vessels, including pleasure craft, are required to clear with Nassau Harbour Control when entering, departing, or changing positions within the confines of Nassau Harbour. Nassau Harbour Control is operational 24 hours daily.) Immediately after passing the second bridge, Hurricane Hole Marina will be located on your port side.
Hurricane Hole Superyacht Marina is located east of both Paradise Island bridges, and vessels can access the marina from either the east or west. If you come in from the west, you’ll be navigating the wider and deeper-dredged part of the harbour. However, this path requires clearing under both Paradise Island bridges, which may be too low for large sailing yachts and some catamarans. Approaching from the east, instead, the harbour isn’t as well-dredged, and boats will face a draft that can be difficult to navigate unless the operator is familiar with the area and is coming in at high tide. Learn more about navigating under the two Paradise Island bridges on our blog.
Please note that the bridge height clearance is 70’. Should your vessel exceed 70’, please contact the marina directly to make the necessary arrangements.
