Additional Frequently Asked Questions

Why should I choose Hurricane Hole over other Nassau-area marinas for my superyacht?

Hurricane Hole is the only marina in Nassau and Paradise Island that combines deep-water superyacht infrastructure with a fully built-out on-shore community. No other Bahamian marina puts a specialty butcher, gourmet grocery, flagship liquor store with dockside delivery, a private medical clinic, a pharmacy, a wellness center, waterfront dining, a captain’s lounge, a crew gym, and a crew pool within walking distance of the docks. The berth is world-class. What surrounds it is what makes it the right choice for an extended stay.

Hurricane Hole Marina offers 6,100 linear feet of dockage, a 240-foot turning basin, and depths of up to 14.5 feet at mean low tide. Captains are encouraged to contact the marina directly to confirm suitability for their vessel before arrival.

Hurricane Hole is ideally positioned as a launch point for cruising the Bahamas, with easy access to the Exumas, Eleuthera and the Out Islands beyond. Located on Paradise Island and within easy reach of Nassau’s international airport, the marina keeps owners, captains and crew well connected. While in port, beaches, exceptional dining, golf, shopping and more are all moments away, alongside the infrastructure and services yachts need for their stay.

Hurricane Hole is the only marina in Nassau and Paradise Island offering in-slip fueling, meaning diesel is delivered directly to the vessel at its berth without repositioning the boat or waiting behind other yachts at a fuel dock. For captains managing turnaround times, crew schedules, or a tight departure window, it is a material operational advantage. The fuel dock between the bridges remains available as an alternative and is open daily from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Windermere Yacht Services operates within the Paradise Landing development, providing on-site yacht support and maintenance services. Having a dedicated provider at the marina means captains can schedule work without arranging access for outside contractors, which simplifies logistics and reduces downtime during a maintenance period.

The marina’s engineered sea walls are designed to reduce wake and wave action across all conditions, keeping the berth stable regardless of weather or passing traffic. The location’s longstanding reputation as a protected anchorage is the reason the name has been held for generations, and the current infrastructure reinforces that with a modern design suited to the Caribbean weather pattern, including the tropical season.

Hurricane Hole offers a range of amenities for crew spending more time in port, including a dedicated crew pool, captain’s lounge, crew gym, bocce ball court, private meeting spaces, and laundry facilities.

Within Paradise Landing, crew also have convenient access to Carnivale Bahamas, Paradise Premium Foods, Flint’s Butchers Block, 700 Wines & Spirits, a pharmacy, GARM Bahamas and the Hurricane Hole Medical Center.

Hurricane Hole has 24/7 mobile security and regular patrols throughout the marina and Paradise Landing, supported by advanced analytical camera systems across the development.

Yes. The combination of in-slip fueling, on-site provisioning, charter management services, and crew welfare facilities makes Hurricane Hole a practical operational base for an active charter program. Paradise Island’s proximity to Nassau’s international airport means charter guests can arrive directly to the development, and the on-shore amenities give them an immediate destination from the moment they step off the gangway.

Hurricane Hole is an approved Bahamian port of entry. Customs officials come on-site to process arrivals at the marina, so captains and crew do not need to travel to a separate facility after docking. Full customs clearance requirements and immigration procedures are detailed at Customs . The process is designed to be handled efficiently at the berth.

The combination of in-slip fueling, dockside provisioning from Paradise Premium Foods and 700 Wines and Spirits, on-site concierge services, dockside mobile pump-out, and on-site customs clearance means a vessel can complete a full turnaround at Hurricane Hole without leaving the development or waiting on external providers. For captains managing a charter schedule with tight windows between legs, this matters.

Yes. Charter management services are available for vessels based at Hurricane Hole, supporting owners and captains who want to generate revenue from the vessel during periods when it is not in private use. Contact the marina team for current program details.

Paradise Premium Foods and Flint’s Butcher’s Block both offer dockside provisioning, and 700 Wines and Spirits provides dockside delivery directly to berthed vessels. The marina team can coordinate provisioning runs across all on-site outlets, ensuring supplies reach the vessel without crew needing to make multiple trips. Contact the marina team at the marina office or by phone at 242-603-1950.

Yes. The captain’s lounge at Hurricane Hole is a dedicated facility for captains and senior crew, providing a professional environment for meetings, planning, and downtime separate from the vessel. It is one of several crew-specific facilities at the marina, alongside the crew gym, crew pool, private meeting spaces, and laundry.

Hurricane Hole has two distinct health and wellness offerings within the development. The Hurricane Hole Medical Center provides primary and urgent care, routine evaluations, general consultations, and laboratory services, open Monday through Sunday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Anachronist Wellness Center provides sports therapy and wellness treatments. Quality Care Pharmacy is also on-site for prescription and medical supply needs. Together, these cover the full range of health requirements for owners, guests, and crew during an extended stay.

The Global Alliance for Regenerative Medicine, GARM, operates within the Paradise Landing development, offering regenerative and longevity therapy services. This is a distinct offering from the primary and urgent care at the Hurricane Hole Medical Center, positioned for owners and guests seeking advanced wellness treatments during a Bahamas stay.

Lynden Pindling International Airport in Nassau is a short drive from Paradise Island via the harbour bridges, typically under 20 minutes depending on traffic. For owners flying in to join the vessel, or for captains managing crew rotations on a charter schedule, the airport proximity is one of the operational advantages of basing a vessel at Hurricane Hole rather than at a more remote Bahamian anchorage.

Hurricane Hole’s rate structure, starting at $7.50 per foot per day for in-season daily dockage down to $3.85 per foot per year for annual berths, reflects a marina that competes on value delivered rather than simply on headline price. The on-shore amenity package, crew welfare facilities, security infrastructure, fiber internet, in-slip fueling, and on-site yacht services represent a total cost of stay that compares favorably once provisioning trips, contractor logistics, and crew downtime at less-equipped marinas are factored in.

The marina team can be reached at 242-603-1950 or sales@hurricaneholemarina.com. Reservations can also be initiated online at Reservations . When contacting the team, having your vessel’s length, beam, draft, and intended dates ready will allow them to confirm the appropriate berth and current availability immediately. The office monitors VHF channel 16 for captains approaching by sea.
