Anachronist Wellness Is Another Exciting Addition to Paradise Island
The latest addition to the Paradise Landing community surrounding Hurricane Hole Superyacht Marina will open this fall, bringing a unique mix of sports therapies, rehab treatments and wellness services to Paradise Landing.
A new wellness center plans to open its doors in Sterling Commons in November, joining the bustling Paradise Landing development in the heart of The Bahamas.
Once open, Anachronist Wellness will join a growing slate of select vendors offering upscale services that benefit the Paradise Landing community as well as guests of Hurricane Hole Superyacht Marina and all Island residents.
As a wellness facility, Anachronist Wellness caters to improving the overall health of those impacted by soft tissue injury and chronic and debilitating pain. Within The Bahamas and Caribbean, Anachronist Therapy will be the first institution to offer Active Release Techniques and soft tissue injury therapy, raising the bar for medical tourism services in the region.
Locals got a sneak peek of Anachronist Wellness’s work in early April during the CARIFTA Games in Nassau, when co-founder, therapist Edwardo Thompson, NMT, ART, hosted a free hamstring injury prevention clinic for coaches and athletes. During the clinics, the therapist of 23 years who specializes in sports performance, soft tissue injuries, rehabilitative therapy, and injury prevention discussed how to prevent hamstring injuries and recover if this injury happens.
But the work of Thompson and Anachronist’s co-founder, licensed clinical aesthetician, Lakera Thompson, RPT, goes beyond sports injuries and performance improvements. Once open, the facility will also offer treatments focusing on various injuries and conditions, lifestyle and work activities, injury care, women’s and men’s health issues, pain care, movement disorders, wellness, IV nutritional hydration therapy, and anti-aging skincare.
The company’s mission is to enhance the lives of all individuals efficiently and ethically through innovative, safe, and non-invasive wellness treatments.
The wellness center is just one more reason why the Paradise Landing residential and commercial community that surrounds Hurricane Hole Superyacht Marina is becoming the new downtown for Paradise Island, just minutes away from the famed Atlantis Resort & Casino.
In addition to premium residences and the best deep-water marina for yachts in The Bahamas, this community already includes the 1,400-square-foot Quality Care Pharmacy, a 6,500-square-foot flagship store from 700 Wines and Spirits, an exclusive Captain’s Lounge and Crew Gym for yacht captains and crew members, and a poolside bar and grill, Asian Grill.
