On May 11, Carnivale Bahamas celebrated its groundbreaking, kicking off construction on a 15,000-square-foot mix of indoor and outdoor spaces that will become a hot spot of dining, entertainment, and celebrations right on Paradise Island.
This restaurant represents a more than $10 million capital investment that will hire as many as 120 employees once fully operational, resulting in seating for over 350 right next to Hurricane Hole Superyacht Marina.
For now, we all have to wait a while to get to enjoy the new restaurant that is poised to become the perfect place for indoor fine dining, casual outdoor food and drinks, live music and entertainment, private parties, and special events. Carnivale Bahamas is expected to open in spring 2024.
But we don’t have to wait that long to get a taste of what’s to come.
It will become the second location of Carnivale, a restaurant that opened in Chicago in 2005 with the mission of celebrating color, life, excitement, and fun.
While Carnivale Bahamas will still include a focus on Latin cuisine, love, and zest for life, like its American counterpart, this new restaurant is being designed with Bahamian touches and inspiration to seamlessly fit into the island nation’s culture and cuisine.
“Carnivale Bahamas will celebrate local cultures, flavors, and cuisines,” co-owner Jerry Cataldo said before the groundbreaking. “We are going to be incorporating elements that are native and beloved by Bahamians.”
